Distributing Blankets and Smiles
Over the past few days, our team have been distributing warm clothing, winter coats, and our iconic blankets to the children and families in Moldova who need our help. All of your kind donations have not only gifted these children bundles of warmth, but also left them feeling loved, happy, and never forgotten.
Throughout our journey in Moldova, we have been able to provide lots of beautiful blankets and winter warmers to Ukrainian refugee children, as well as Moldovan foster children and others in need. All of the children and families have been delighted with their new winter warmers and we thank everyone who has supported our Ukraine appeal. Thank you to all the knitters and crocheters who spent copious amounts of time crafting these fun blankets for our appeal - we truly appreciate your hard work and kindness!
Throughout the week, our team have been met with beautiful smiles from these children who are forever grateful of your donations. We would not be able to do what we do without all of your support, so we share these pictures with you to help you see the grand, positive difference we are able to make with your help. We cannot thank you enough for believing in Operation Orphan and what we do - all of your generosity and trust in us is never taken for granted.
It has been an incredibly busy, yet valuable, week for our team - we are so glad that they were able to be in Moldova for the arrival of the lorry and for the beginning of the winter distribution. The work is by no means over and we’ll be updating you soon. The majority of the team is now back in the UK after a wonderful week together.
