To Our Crafters: Thank You!

Jillian dropping off some lovely blankets

Lately, we have received so many donations of some wonderful blankets, and we want to share them with you!

These blankets play a vital role to the works we do as a charity, and we distribute them in nearly every one of our projects. Not only do they keep children warm, but they play a key factor in helping with trauma processing after incredibly difficult situations.

Internationally, these blankets are taken along with every Crisis Response Team deployment as part of the team’s essential aid kit and given out to children and families they identify and start supporting amidst the disaster.
Last year, we distributed 260 blankets to children living in an IDP camp in Turkey after the horrible earthquakes which rocked the country. To read more, follow the link below.

Another way we use these blankets is through our UK project, Forget-Me-Notts. Every week, the team go out and build beds for children who may be otherwise sleeping on dirty or broken ones; some children don’t have a bed at all which drastically affects their day to day lives. Each bed built is completed with duvets, pillows, cuddly toys, and a beautiful and warm blanket.

We are so grateful for our crafters who make these gorgeous blankets, and our volunteers who help prepare them to be given to vulnerable children all over the world. It is an immense privilege to be able to keep children WARM - and we wouldn’t be able to do it without everyone’s help. Thank you so much ❤️
