Blanket Appreciation!
Over the last few weeks, we have been receiving so many comments from blanket donors spotting their creations!
We are so pleased when donors spot their donations; it’s really important to us that people see proof of where their donations go. We can’t show every picture, but it’s great when people recognize their handiwork as it builds trust between us and donors. Thank you so much to everyone who donates!!

Julia, who is one of our amazing ambassadors, manages many crafting chats on Facebook for our behalf; she also organizes crafters from all over the UK to send blankets our way. Massive thanks to Julia and everyone else who is a part of these online crafting communities for sending us these lovely blankets!
Below are photos from our UK project, Forget-Me-Notts, which delivers and installs beds, drawers, and other essential house-hold items into homes in Nottingham/Derbyshire and Lancashire. With every bed referral, we will give the recipients a beautiful, hand-made blanket to accompany their new beds.
As you can see, these blankets are such an essential part of so many of our projects. We really couldn’t imagine Operation Orphan without these lovely blankets and the wonderful people who knit and crochet for us. Thank you so incredibly much; we appreciate you all lots and lots ❤️
Our Crisis Response Team has deployed back to Turkey to continue supporting survivors of the earthquakes. They are taking with them essential aid including more handmade blankets. Keep an eye out on our social media pages and website and let us know if you spot your blanket!
