Teamwork Makes the Dream-Work!

A few weeks ago, we had an amazing day with some even more amazing volunteers sorting and packing donations we have received to support people affected by the ongoing crisis in Ukraine (some of which is already on its way there!).

We had the privilege of hosting a lovely volunteer group who came from all different kinds of businesses, and we want to thank Ikano Bank, Hardstaff Barriers, Distinct Recruitment, Wordline, Monarch Education Furniture, and LapCabby for kindly allowing their staff to come and support us for the day.

For the last several months, we have been collecting donations of warm winter clothing, blankets, nappies, etc…, to be sorted through, packed up, and then shipped out to Moldova and Ukraine in response to the war in Ukraine. Thanks to our fantastic supporters, we had received so many donations and no longer had the room to store it all in our warehouse space (which is a problem we were quite happy to have!). Our amazing volunteers helped us load and move all of our donations to the Scout’s Hut where everyone pitched in to sort and pack the items. Thank you so much to the 1st Chilwell and Attenborough Scout Group for allowing us to use their space.

Our volunteers did such an amazing job whilst sorting. Everyone was incredibly diligent, ensuring the items were in great condition and were sorted into the appropriately labeled bays. We can’t thank you all enough for doing such a fantastic and high-quality job!

After sorting and packing all of the donations into boxes, our team of volunteers loaded up a van of all the packed boxes to be stored with our partners, Silver X. It really was an amazing day of so many groups coming together and moving mountains- of donations- as one team with one goal. We could not be more grateful and proud to partner with all of these phenomenal companies. Massive thank yous to all of the organizations who pitched in to make this pack so successful!
