Back to Hatay- CRT Turkey Update

The Crisis Response Team deployed back into Hatay to continue helping those whose lives have been drastically altered by the earthquakes. They visited and checked on children and families they met during their last trip along with new families referred to them by the Ministry of Family and Social Services.

The team spent their time assessing and responding to the needs of many vulnerable family units and children in the Hatay region. They gave out and helped set up tents, solar-powered lights, and water filtration systems.

Brad also met with teachers and discussed issues facing the local education system; the schools are finding it difficult signing teachers on as so many are leaving due to their homes being destroyed. Senior students are also in need of laptops. We are working to combat these issues in a tactical way.

Overall, we are just so blessed to be able to continue serving the people of Hatay and bringing hope into their lives. The team faced many hard and harrowing stories of grief, but were met with so much gratitude from those who they helped.

We are so privileged to be working here supporting these children.

Watch the video below for Brad and Dave’s summary of CRT’s two deployments to Turkey and how we are supporting these children moving forward.

We are so grateful to everyone who has supported us; without your efforts, these deployments wouldn’t have been possible. Because of you we are able to help these children!
